About the Bible Study:
Many focus on joy when reading the book of Philippians. However, at the time we started to write on the book of Philippians, our ministry was flooded with those struggling with anxiety. Pastors invited us to speak to groups about dealing with anxiety. Individuals came for counseling to deal with their personal anxiety and lack of peace. God made it clear that the focus of this study should be peace and contentment that frees a person from anxiety, tension, worry, and stress. One thing that is clear in Philippians is that the Spirit of God does not give you anxiety. Anxiety manifests as a result of focusing on yourself. When you depend on yourself, you will be anxious. When you love and depend on your Shepherd, Jesus Christ, you will receive peace.
